Baseball Was My Life. Then I Stopped Being Able to Throw the Ball.



It’s called the yips, and it’s a sudden inability to play. I had to find my way out of it. I quit playing baseball when I was 11 years old. That was the cutoff for girls; after that point, we had to switch to softball, and I wasn’t having it.
